Gilead HCV Disease Awareness Campaign

Situation: We were awarded a market development campaign to drive Primary Care Physician (PCP) engagement with hepatitis C, a disease they were not primarily screening for or treating.

Solution: After initial market analysis to understand the PCP mindset, we developed a strategic branding campaign to address the misconceptions/gaps.

Creative deliverables: Initially the campaign addressed the “what” messaging ‘HCV can be cured’—As awareness of HCV curability increased, we shifted our campaign to focus on “how” messaging—especially PCP implementation of the patient identification and treatment process.

My role: This required a visual and messaging system to quickly and clearly communicate “how” to our audiences across multiple materials. I concepted several approaches and landed on this very clean, organized approach.

Results: Dramatically raised awareness and believability of key messages among PCPs. The screening and diagnosis rates increased.
